Diagnostic Imaging, MRI, Ultrasound Scan
Imaging is an important component of health screening, as it allows visualising parts of your body not visible to the naked eye. It can be done with non-radiation sound/magnetic waves in the case of ultrasound and Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), or with the lowest effective dose of ionising radiation in the case of X-Ray and Computed Tomography (CT).
Precious Diagnostic Imaging Centre focuses on the safe and judicious use of modern technology to help you and your doctor manage your health effectively. The imaging equipment available at our Centre stems from years of research and development in the field of diagnostic imaging.
Our Facilities
Digital X-Ray
Chest X-Ray is a useful screening measure, detecting infectious diseases such as tuberculosis as well tumours and cancers.
Regular smokers, especially with a family history of cancer and/or persistent cough, should consider a lung CT.
Ultrasound
The Ultrasound system provides high performance scalable imaging for a range of critical applications, such as abdominal, pelvic, cardiac, vascular, OB/GYN, breast, prostate and musculoskeletal.
Recommended Imaging Tests
Pelvic Ultrasound Prostate MRI / Pelvic CT
Mammography
Mammogram screening for breast care solution with ultrasound and diagnostic capabilities, focused on an ergonomic design for patient comfort.
Diagnostic imaging, such as mammography, is recommended annually for women between 40 – 49 years, and every two years for women between 50 and 69 years.
Bone Mineral Densitometry (BMD)
Bone Mineral Densitometry is a non-invasive X-Ray scan, assessing bone mineral density and body mass composition, used to screen for osteoporosis.
Osteoporosis is known to be a ‘silent’ disease, as there are no immediate symptoms of weakening bones. It is advisable for adults at age 50 and above to monitor their bone health.
Computed Tomography (CT)
CT scan provides vascular and cardiac imaging at any heart rate and scanning of various organs including the brain, liver, kidneys, spleen and pancreas. It brings accurate diagnosis of disease, trauma or abnormality.
Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI)
MRI scans can be used to screen for the likelihood of stroke.
Carotid Ultrasound may also be a useful test to image the arteries supplying the brain.
It is also used for Stroke Scan, Nervous System Imaging, Cancer Screening & Diagnosis and Bone, Joint & Soft Tissue Analysis
